Open up Mac OS X Mail and select Mail from the top menu bar
and click on Preferences.

Click on Accounts on the top of the window. Then click on
the plus sign
, located at the
bottom-left of the window, to create a new account.

From the Account
Type: pop-up menu choose POP3.

Description is just a name that you use to identify the
account. This can be helpful if you have several accounts. A name like VSM Mail will be sufficient.

Enter your e-mail address in the Email Address field.

For Full Name, enter your name, as you would like people to
see it when they receive mail from you.

For Incoming Mail Server, enter mail.vsm.net.

Your User Name is your full email address, for example user@vsm.net.

Enter your password in the Password field if you would like
OS X Mail to remember it each time you check your mail.

Click Server Settings... button at
the bottom of the
window.

In the SMTP Server Options window, type
mail.vsm.net for the Outgoing Mail Server.
Choose Password from the Authentication
pop-up menu.

In the User Name field, type your full email address. Then type your password in the Password field.
Click OK to continue.

You will be asked to save the changes. Click on Save.
Close all preference windows.
- Setup is now complete. Your mail folders should appear to the side of the
window, and you should be able to read and send messages at this time.
